HOW DOES THE TREATMENT WORK?

During the consultation, a detailed medical history will be taken. This is an important aspect of the process, as it helps the practitioners at Healand Clinic understand your overall health, and any underlying conditions and determine whether PRP therapy is safe and effective for you.
Moreover, the consultation includes an assessment to devise a personalized treatment plan. This plan is tailored to your unique requirements, focusing on areas of concern and the desired outcomes that align with your goals.
Before beginning the actual PRP sessions, you'll also undergo a patch test. This test is a precautionary measure to check for any adverse reactions to the treatment. It's a standard procedure to ensure patient safety. The PRP treatment sessions themselves typically last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. The duration largely depends on the area being treated and the extent of the treatment required.
More than one session may be needed, spaced approximately six to eight weeks apart. The results of your treatment should last between six and 12 months.
A possible side-effect of treatment may be an infection at the site of the injection. However your Healand clinician will discuss this with you during your consultation, and prior to any treatment taking place.
