HOW DOES THE TREATMENT WORK?
The first step to receiving botox injections at Healand Clinic in Leicester is to undergo a thorough consultation, which will determine if the treatment is right for you. This will include a full medical history and assessment to determine which treatment plan you will be put onto.
Botox is administered via injection, directly at the area that is being treated. The three main areas that are targeted are the forehead, crow’s feet and frown lines above the eyebrows.
Each session will last around 10-15 minutes, depending on the areas that are being treated. You may feel some pain at the site of the injection, as well as swelling and redness or bruising. This will dissipate after around 48-72 hours (varies from person to person).
In rare cases, you may experience muscle weakness, vision problems, infection or ptosis.
The desired effects of the treatment will be evident after four to six days. Each treatment should last around three to four months, so repeat sessions may be booked after this time.
